Chain of Bays Management Action Plan

The Chain of Bays Management Action Plan was produced by The Friends of Sceale Bay in 2006, as part of a Federal "Envirofund" grant. The plan documented the environmental assets of each of the four bays in the Chain of Bays, and made recommendations for management actions. This plan provided important information for a 2007 State Government report, entitled "Report on opportunities for the protection of coastal land between Streaky Bay and Venus Bay through establishment of a Coastlinks Conservation Area" ("Coastlinks"). This report recommended significant additions to the conservation estate, the development of management plans for infrastructure, and the integration of policies and planning documents. We see the evolution of an integrated planning approach in partnership with State Government agencies, local government and community stakeholders as a logical progression of these published management plans.
